Blue Band and Carrefour Reward Kenyan Families, Promote Nutrition and Education

Flora Food Kenya, in partnership with Carrefour, has announced the winners of the Carrefour Brand Festival Promotion, an initiative that celebrates family nutrition and community empowerment.

Five Kenyan shoppers, Joseph Irungu, Teresia Njoki, Christopher Njoroge, and John Kinyingi, each received Ksh 100,000 in school fees, underscoring Blue Band’s commitment to promoting better nutrition and education access across Africa.

Speaking during the award ceremony, Pheodor Njoroge, Head of Marketing for East and Southern Africa at Flora Food Group, said the campaign reflects the company’s purpose-driven approach to nutrition and sustainability.

“This promotion is part of our ongoing mission to spread nutrition and joy to families across Africa,” Njoroge said. “By rewarding families and supporting education, we’re helping build stronger, healthier communities.”

Beyond rewarding consumers, the initiative also raises awareness of sustainable food practices and the role of plant-based nutrition in improving health and reducing environmental impact.

Flora Food Group, the parent company of Blue Band, is a global leader in plant-based spreads, creams, and cheese alternatives. The company’s sustainability-driven mission aims to make nutritious foods more accessible and environmentally responsible.
