eWAKA Hits 1.1 Million Deliveries as Electric Fleet Expands Across Kenya and Rwanda

Electric mobility company eWAKA has exceeded 1.1 million commercial deliveries across Kenya and Rwanda, marking a significant milestone as it broadens one of East Africa’s largest managed electric fleets for last-mile logistics.

The company said more than 1,200 electric cargo bicycles and motorcycles are now operating on its platform, supporting businesses and delivery riders through an integrated system that combines fleet management, battery access, financing, software and technical support. The landmark highlighted growing demand for electric mobility solutions in the commercial transport sector, where businesses are increasingly seeking lower operating costs and more efficient fleet management.

The company’s operations are currently centered in Kenya and Rwanda, two markets where demand for reliable and affordable last-mile delivery services continues to grow. By focusing on fleet operations rather than vehicle sales alone, eWAKA has positioned itself as an operating platform for commercial electric mobility, allowing businesses to access electric vehicles alongside the services needed to keep them on the road.

“The future of mobility will not be defined by who builds the most vehicles. It will be defined by who builds the operating platforms that make electric mobility commercially sustainable. This recognition validates our conviction that disciplined execution and thoughtful capital allocation can create enduring businesses.” Said Céleste Tchetgen Vogel, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of eWAKA.

However, the operational milestone comes as electric mobility adoption continues to advance across Africa, driven by rising fuel prices, urbanization and increasing investment in clean transport solutions. Commercial fleets have emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments of the market because delivery riders and fleet operators can realize meaningful savings from lower fuel and maintenance costs.

While the company recently ranked 13th among more than 250 businesses assessed in the 2026 MobilityX Africa rankings, eWAKA’s growth story is increasingly being measured through operational performance. The report also identified the company among Kenya’s five highest-ranked mobility businesses, the highest-ranked woman-led mobility company in East Africa and one of woman-founded companies featured in the continental rankings.

Moving forward, eWAKA plans to broaden its managed electric fleet, boost its technology platform and invest further in battery infrastructure and financing solutions as it scales operations across the region. The company believes continued investment in integrated fleet operations will play a significant role in accelerating commercial electric mobility adoption across Africa’s rapidly growing logistics sector.
